I'd be beyond pissed if I was a fan of a moderately big D1 program and they hired a guy that runs that.

That offense just runs it's options different

They were beating their chests before the 2008 Peach Bowl about how the triple option was going to demolish our D...

They've beaten Georgia once and reached the Orange Bowl, but they've been mostly mediocre in a weak conference. They can do better.

It is really neat to be at a game and watch an option play develop. Especially with the pre-snap motion.

A school like Georgia Tech shouldn't be running that offense. Schools like Navy, Air Force, and Army all but have to. Hell I expect some schools in talent dry areas (Rocky Mountains/Southwest) to run it because they don't have the elite athletes to run diverse offenses and they can get the high schools in their state to commit to it, but Georgia Tech is in the biggest recruiting hotbed of one of the top 7-8 states for high school football players in the country. Hell they don't have to go more than 50 miles from their campus in any direction to fill out the majority of each recruiting class with good-great athletes. That style of offense hurts both your offensive and defensive recruiting and puts a ceiling on what your team is capable of each season.

But gt expects their athletes to be able to read which is a problem for many elite college football players.

It's fun to watch that's for sure. I still enjoyed Nebraska's I-form, and Power-I option attack better, but Georgia Tech is still a fun team to follow.

The triple option is more difficult in its reads than any offense to run.

The Flexbone is probably most diverse offense ever. It combines Houston Veer, Wishbone, Run n Shoot, loads, G,

One of their fans has melted down on the UGA team board.

He seems to be a believer.

They are averaging more wins per season under Paul Johnson than at any other time in their program's history. Plus...they won the ACC a few years back - something they hadn't done since 1990.

Georgia Tech fans are happy if their team goes to a bowl game. Their expectations are not that high.
