Check them out been hearing this song on Sirius XMU for a few weeks. Reminds me of Dirty Projectors with a less stuff done in the studio production area.

I think they're playing at One Eyed Jacks in the Quarter soon too.

Just wanted to bump this thread...I was in Munich last week for work and went to see Phoenix and Haim was opening up for them...

I wanted to say I knew nothing about them before the concert, and we they walked out, I was like, f@cking great...a girl band

And then they just rocked...all guitar, heavy drums, etc....

So, after I went back to find out more about them...and I think there music was ok to very good on some songs, but they are band that is a live band...

Would definitely go see them again...

She's entertaining to watch.

They aren't terrible and they can all play instruments so there's that.

But there's something very manufactured about them to me. Can't put my finger on it. The Danielle girl can't sing that great live.

I saw them do a cover of that Sheryl crow song "strong enough to be my man" and Lorde sang with them. She wasn't good at all live.

agree with doc - saw them about a month or so ago and while it wasnt bad, but they came across as manufactured and some of the harmony stuff they were trying to pull off they just werent able to get right.

I kind of liked that they were not perfect...and was playing around some.

and I think a "girl rock band" has to be a hard sell these days...manufactured or not

what i was talking about was it seeming to be that they werent capable of doing things that they needed to be able to do to, not that they were experimenting. having been singing together long term, some things should be natural by now and they werent coming naturally that day.

after the show i was curious to see if it was just me and a review i read for a show a week before said near the same.

mightve been a bad week, not trying to beat them up but they were definitely missing things that they shouldnt at the show i attended. very small sample size though, and still enjoyable - just didnt hook me as something special.

I love "The Wire" but that's probably as far as I'll go. Didn't care for the 2nd single.
