Callin Baton Rouge - Spinoff from least favorite tradition thread

Since about half of the responses were hating on Callin Baton Rouge, I was wondering if anyone knew when they started playing that in the stadium. It came out in '94 and he played at Maravich in '98 (my first concert, 
). Is the version they play in the stadium from that show?

It's just a terrible song. It did not get better because Garth decided to do it. It should have died a quiet uneventful death as soon as Linde wrote it.

Well I end almost every run with either Callin Baton Rouge or the LSU Drum Cadence ... If it's Callin BR I am in my mind literally in TS seeing the players huddle toward the end of the song, seeing them do their "thing"/sway routing and then running into the tunnel with the crowd cheering super loudly!
