I love Mint but over the last few months I have noticed a ton of issues with it that just don't seem to ever get fixed. I think Intuit has basically cut the budget way back on Mint which is really a poor decision on their part... because I think it is the future of basic household budgets and really opens up their market share as most people will never buy quickbooks etc... but they will use a solid online service.
My first major gripe is the issues with connecting to various services.. I'm sure most of the problem is on the banks end... but mint shouldn't support banks that can't get it right... Iberiabank is one that is ALWAYS dropping off of my account and saying it has connection issues... to as lesser degree Ally bank and my state farm accounts do this as well.
Upcoming bill reminder is another huge issue.. stuff falls out all of the time some months it shows other it doesn't.. Can't figure it out but i think it has something to do with the accounts that have "connection issues"
Budgets reminders all act very weird... it seems like I only get "over budget" reminders emailed to me when i log in to mint... which kinda defeated the purpose of a reminder.
I am honestly starting to get a little turned off of mint but don't know where else to go.. I have at ton of saved data in here and its awesome to track spending habits over the years... I hope Intuit catches on and realizes they have something special here and should continue to develop it rather than ignore major issues that will likely drive away users.

Its annoying when it happens but its usually so short lived it never really bothers me. I imagine using such a small bank like Ibernia is the problem. I am just assuming its a small bank.

I don't see why it would as you manually put in the bill reminders.

No opinion here as I check mint every day. I didn't want a million emails any ways. There is a mobile app as well. Its just as easy for me to pull out my phone and hit the app then to get some kind of email reminder that I'm near a budget limit. I can do the math once I see it.
Really, the only thing that pisses me off and sucks about mint is the "investment" section (if you can even label it that). Its essentially useless, but if it were fleshed out no one would buy Quicken, so I'll just have to live with it.

I've never been able to get mint to connect with our primary credit card, which essentially kills its day in day out utility for me. It's still useful and convenient, but is it useful enough to justify my having given them all my account information? IDK, but that water's under the bridge anyway.

I love Mint, but agree it's seemed to fall off a bit lately.
As for budget updates. I'm pretty sure Mint doesn't update until you log in and force it too. So if you're not over budget at the time, it doesn't register as being over budget until the transactions are updated.

It has really gone to shite.
I have been disappointed with them. Especially because of their loss of data problems.

I'm only 20 so my knowledge is pretty limited. I deal with only income, have one credit card, and 1 checking and 1 savings.
I used mint since January of 2012 up until June of 2013. I always stayed on budget but I could never seem to get ahead. I saw someone here suggest YNAB, and I thought I would use it for a month for free but I'm not gonna shell out 60 bucks for it.
Since June I have saved at least 200 dollars every month, which I know isn't THAT MUCH but again I am 20, I work for 9 bucks an hour, and I pay all my own bills(rent/cable/utilities/etc.) except cell phone, so for me 200 extra dollars a month is a LOT of money. I was so pleased after the first month of YNAB that I shelled out the 60 bucks.
Get YNAB.

Mint still does fine for me. Learnvest is another option, but I still like mint better.

Was hoping you would site up flask.
I haven't experienced these issues but they sound terrible.
