In the SEC football traditions are respected and holy, but not LSU. Oh and I know "Little Nicky" said we are going to have to get used to it (playing day games) so the SEC Office will do anything to

This has absolutely zero to do with anything you said and everything to do with whether or not CBS thinks more people will watch LSU-UF or A&M-OM.
And after looking at A&M schedule, the only other game they will air of theirs all year will be A&M-LSU. You think CBS only wants Johnny Football twice the whole year? I'm actually starting to lean toward them taking A&M-OM game now..

UF losing to Tennessee this weekend will help in getting an ESPN night kickoff.
The LSU/UF time will be announced next Monday (so the Ole Miss/Bama outcome won't matter) unless CBS chooses to do the 6-day window and make a decision the following week which I believe they can do once a season.

I'm thinking that the injury to Florida's QB make them less attractive for the CBS games. The Cocktail Party will be on CBS of course, but if their offense tanks, CBS would rather have Vern yelling "OH MY" to whatever JFF is doing. I would lean toward it being a 6:45 ESPN game.

CBS takes the "option" and no announcement until week of the game -- pending outcome of Ole Miss vs. Bama.
My bet is that aTm vs. Ole Miss gets the 2:30 PM slot and LSU vs. UF is ESPN game that night.

Does it matter? Not like death valley has any threat in it anymore with less than 4 thousand fans left in the stadium by the 3rd quarter. 2:30/7 same difference.
