Sorry if this has been discussed. Haven't been on the board in about a week and a half recovering from the UGA loss.

Anyway local radio brought up the idea that it isn't outside the realm of possibility that Texas, So.Cal, and Nebraska are all looking for new coaches come season's end.

If that were to happen who would go where? Who gets first pick of the liter?

Would lesser programs actually try to retain their coach for another year because if they fire him they know they won't stand a chance getting a top guy with those 3 jobs on the market?

I'd switch those, but thats just me.

The expectations for Texas would go through the roof for whoever replaces Brown. All the Texas fans would go crazy and proclaim themselves Champions before the season would even start.

(Not that they don't already do that.)

Say normally Nebraska would get rid of Pelini, but they see that Texas and So.Cal are both looking. Is it outside the realm of possibility that they keep Bo for one more year to try and get a better grab the following season?

USC won't be open due to probation.
Texas if a move is made it will be someone like OBrien or Gundy
NU won't be open either, but they will have NU ties.

Kiffin to Boise State,

I wouldn't mind see Kiffin take them out of BCS busting (or playoff busting) contention for a while.

I feel like Kiffin is the type that thinks he is "too good" for a job like Boise.

He will be a coordinator at a major school or a position coach in the NFL before taking any head coaching job at a non BCS school

Shaggybevo seems obsessed with Gruden and Saban. A year or two ago, they were all about Petersen, but maybe the Harsin situation soured them and/or Petersen on that possibility.

Hayden has already said twice that he is giving him this year. Next year is key year.
