Just started watching this on Netflix. Up to episode 11 Season 1. Never watched it back in the day. Very very good show so far. Very likable characters and well written. I think Martin Sheen pulls of the role of the President very well. Some of his little speeches are quite impressive.

watched the first episode the other day after finishing house of cards.

it remains mt favorite series of all time. the first and only time I had "appointment television". crucial for my high school/college years. i rewatch every year or so.

I think it's seasons 1 through 3 that are really very good television. I believe it's season 4 that really starts to shite the bed. Then it just sucks in season 5. Never made it passed that.

The show never "shits the bed". Does it drop a little after season 4, yeah, but its still really good TV and season 7 is awesome, back up to season 1-3 levels.

to me, people who adore the first 4 and then say that the rest of the series is the worst thing on earth forever and ever are
