In the west uppers you don't get the afternoon/setting sun in your eyes like on the east side. And the view is better than the SEZ. I had the chance to sit at the bottom (3rd row) of the west uppers and it was a much better view than my usual seats in the SEZ

The map for 2013 shows $210 for SEZ as some of west uppers are $450 and $500

Because if you're in a gold chair back in the upper deck there's not many better seats in the house.

I moved from the SEZ to the WU ( 45 yard line) 12 years ago and have never regreted it. The view is much better if you don't mind taking the elevator up.

First few rows of the West Upper offer a great view. I was surprised.

I prefer the lower bowl.

And most people call the donation a "TAF" fee. It's not. Majority of the stadium donates to the "tradition fund".

SEZ has only one toilet, or so I believe.

This. People are confusing the two. Tradition fund applies to the seats that existed before the TAF was established. I'm pretty sure LA law prohibits TAF from controlling these seats. They can only control new seats added after they took over.

TAF is pretty much a private entity and Tradition Fund payments are made directly to LSU and controlled by them.

I was fortunate to get 'upgrades' and move from east upper to west upper this year. I think the fees are higher for three reasons I figure: 1) not staring the sun in the face, 2) even the bleacher seats up there are benchback seats, and 3) on the Tiger home sideline (not that it makes much of a difference being in the upper decks) but at least on the west upper deck you don't have to deal with all the visiting team's fans and their crap. It's fun to heckle when you win but sucked bad when Bammer won last year.... Pom poms all up in our face, wanted to take them all and shove them somewhere...

Part of the reason the new additions do not touch the existing stadium from what I've been told.
