My single shot youth .410 is now in my son's hands. He needs to use it for a year or two till he is big enough for the 20 that I bought him. It is currently choked full and that isn't going to fly for wing shooting. Anyone have any experience with gunsmiths in the BR area for this work. I'm thinking improved cylinder for woodcock.

Call Briley in Houston.

If they can//will do it, it will be done well.

If they can't do it, nobody in BR can.

Trying to keep from sending it off, If I have to go that route it would probably be sent to Mike Orlen. It is a cheap H&R crack barrel, just want a decent quick job without shipping.

My dad has sent his antique stuff to him forever. Does great work, but don't expect him to finish it quickly

I'm sure he or Mr. David Reynerson could take care of it for you. NE Firearms .410?

Myself and multiple friends have used Eduardo Chahan and we've always been pleased with his work.

Barking Irons just helped a buddy of mine after Jim's and Hebert could not get it done. Reyersons if you live up north.

Eduardo is good but takes time. By the way, someone needs to write a book about that guy....what a story!

Barking Irons does some really great work, but I'm not sure about shotguns with them.

Is it one of the tapered barrel steups?

There might not be enough steel at the muzzle to open it up much if so.

I'll take a look at the barrel, but I think there was plenty...

Joe Macaluso did a story on Eduardo a few years back. It was/is a grate story. He rebuilt a safety on an "OLD" 10 ga. side by side I had, worked perfect.

Check out the new gunsmith at hunters run in port Allen, I would think he would have an interest in shotguns???
