Having watched this guy for over a year I really think he could be a very good free safety. He has very good speed and is a good tackler and hard hitter. To me he was put at corner out of need last year. Your opinion?

Did you see him whiff at that tackle on UAB's touchdown run?

No thanks.

Give him an offseason to learn the position and put on 15 lbs of muscle.

he's not a good tackler. at all. not sure where you got that from.

he showed some good instincts in coverage last yr IMO (the Manziel int, the SC deep ball he broke up), but he's been inconsistent over about the last 6 games or so going back to last yr.

I actually thought about him as a centerfielder type safety, but he'd be a liability in run support. whereas a guy like Rickey Jeff might be both ballhawk and headhunter.

I hear you. But it's not like Loston takes great angles either.

From a source close to the secondary, got word that Collins' softness is a serious issue. This is the worst our secondary has been in a while, could very well hold us back

6'2" 195 is big enough to play safety

If we're talking outside the box safety candidates, Wright tackles great on special teams and plays well anytime he's on the field at WR or any position.

If he's having trouble tackling, which he is according to Les, I'm not sure moving him to a spot that has additional tackling responsibilities is going to help his game.

He has had extreme difficulty this year shedding blockers on the run game. He has gotten beat twice so far - nobody is perfect but I think he is in the doghouse right now. Tre White came in right after the 35 yd pass over JC32's head and did not play another snap.

Martin and Loston both are close to the doghouse because of missed tackles...

We will see what this next game brings.

No. How could you? Because he wasn't in on that play.
