@TheJimmyGraham: What a great win and stop by the D at the end! Blessed to be apart of this team!

Seeing his frustration on the field, I hope he knows it as well. He really drags the offense down. And I've been a big Ingram defender.

He's definitely the worst of our backs, but he didn't get any help today either

Jahri played the worst game i've seen him play. Half the time Ingram touched the ball Babineaux was already at his ankles.

Offense wasn't totally in sync, but that will come.

Dline, linebackers, and corners + Vaccaro were great.

Harper and Jenkins were mediocre, but thats probably an upgrade for those two. The two longest Falcons plays were on them. Harper with the blinders on, running right past Jackson on his big run. And Jenkins with his typical terrible angle on Douglas' long catch.

Great win though. Im exhausted

ALL I HAVE ASK FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS IS FOR US TO GET PRESSURE ON OPPOSING QBs WITH OUR FRONT FOUR! with all the damn rule changes it is really the key to playing defense now and without that you are rolling the dice or screwed regardless of how good your secondary is now if you cant get pressure on opposing qbs with your front four. We did that today. I feel like a kid on Christmas!

Mother fricka no shite dumb arse(directed at Smith, not you EB). All the stupid media people, failclown fans, and chicken little mother frickers here saying that shite all offseason drove me nuts.

New coordinator, 6 new starters, 5-6 other guys playing a lot more minutes, etc. Stupid asses keep wanting to say it's the same thing and it's not even close.

If our D sucks this year it's because of this year. Last year has nothing to do with it. We threw most of the babies out with the bathwater and have moved on.

One other thing I took from this game. The new mantra for announcers, replacing "bounty," is "last year's defense was the worst in NFL history."

You'll hear it every Saints broadcast.

I know and I can't wait until we roll a few mother frickers to shut them the hell up.

The o-line will get fixed. I have faith that it will.

People really need to chill on Ingram. I'm not an Ingram guy, but he had penetration in the back field on most of his runs. Who stands a chance against that?

M. Jenkins just needs to sit. Anyone else of the field is a better option.

I'm proud of the d-line. I hope Bunkley and Walker's injuries aren't too serious.

Yeah.
Outside of Ingram, the ypc was about a 3.6, I believe.
That's worse than Ingram's average the first two seasons.

I do think Robinson replaces Ingram at some point, but I think he's too raw.

The OL has to create better holes.

I've chilled on him so much I'm frozen. I gave him the benefit of the doubt but honestly, he's a detriment to the Saints offense. Look at his YPC vs. Thomas & Sproles. Same line.

He just doesn't have the vision, footwork or elusiveness to be of much help.

Bench him & give Robinson a shot.

I agree with all of this Pat. And I'm not an Ingram fan or hater, but he had no legit shot on pretty much every run. Hell Thomas and Sproles barely escaped the backfield quite a few times.

I'm hoping they get this run game going right, but our poor interior play combined with how well ATLs DTs played made the run game look like shite.

Sproles didn't fair much better in the run game.

Thomas has superior vision, but another aspect to his running success is you have to be on guard for anything when he's in the game. We continue to be unimaginative with Ingram. The guy has hands. He can run the screen already. He can run a flat route. Start feeding him some passes, and I think his ypc will improve.

Yeah Payton kind of tipped his hand with Ingram in. It seemed to be mostly run on his snaps.

And Sproles with the dual threat of his pass catching only averaged 2.8 ypc. Is he bad?

Thomas had 4.8 ypc but Thomas is always beasting.

Ingram -- 1.2 YPC

Sproles -- 2.8 YPC

More than twice as much.

Sproles 8 for 22

Ingram 9 for 11

I agree Sproles didn't do much. But Ingram didn't do half as much as Sproles. Keep feeding him the rock? I think not.

I have a problem with it, but less of a problem with Sproles than with Ingram.

Come on, man. Ingram's a bust.

Oh I'm not saying keep feeding Ingram. I'm all about giving Thomas all the snaps(save for the few plays we bring Sproles in on quick passes).

I'm just saying his play was atrocious because the line did jack shite for him, and barely did better for Sproles and Thomas.

To claim that he sucks because he had a defender on top of him as soon as he got the ball is stupid. He may suck but today was not his fault.
