I think that was the best 15 yard penalty I've seen from the saints in a long long time when he hit Matt Ryan... Kodak moment!...

Best part is it wasn't even 15 yards because they were around the 20 I think and would have been first or second down anyway right?

The ref even said it was for a "hit on the quarterback."
Um, he's not a quaterback anymore once he runs past the LOS.
Don't run if you don't want to get hit.

Yeah Vaccaro was leaving his feet just as Ryan started sliding. Kind of hard to pull back when you are IN THE frickING AIR!

I think I understand the rule but Vaccaro was pretty much committed (like, in the air) and avoided anything near the head. Seems chickenshit to me. But, then again, the rule these days is sort of chickenshit.

The best thing was, they didn't even get to have all 15 yards. They were in range for it to be half the distance to the goal instead.

The feet first slide has been a rule for years. It was a penalty. Worth it, but the right call.
