Ate there last night, was okay. Again I think I ordered the wrong things. The Dim Sum was really good. But the menu is a little confusing, in its quirks. It's set up like "Bao, Chow, Cruch, Munch"

So I had to ask a lot of questions. Got Korean fried chicken, which were wings that must have been battered four or five times. I've never had that much batter on wings. I had no idea they were wings when I got the plate. (Though the towelettes that came with them should have tipped me off) The sauce was good, but it was just too much breading.

Then I get the "Happy Mandarin" It was a pretty good salad, but the cold leftover tasting chicken was the worst part. I wasn't impressed by it.

I see the prices and think they appear cheap, and maybe I just ordered the wrong items, but I didn't love it.

I'm hoping for better from Iris tonight.

The star of our meal was the fortune cookie. It was really good, huge, thin and with a handwritten fortune. Some cream and mandarin orange reduction on the side to dip the pieces in.

I haven't seen much on this place, and it has a great location being one block off Poydras on Barrone, just a couple of blocks from the Rouses.

Just wasn't wowed by it enough to give up on my favorites.

I didn't care for it. Nothing stood out as great and the vegetables were way too oily.

Anybody been to this joint lately? The good? The bad? The ugly?

Some of it is pretty good and some is just okay, imo. It's good for me after a movie or some event downtown on a week night because it's open later and I can stop there on the way home.

Their salads and a couple of their soups are good. I think I remember the ribs as being tasty. I have had a couple of things I didn't much care for, but damned if I can remember what they were.

Sounds about the same as their other restaurants. Decent, but nothing to go out of your way for.

I've enjoyed it for lunch. Last time I got the Tokyo Ramen and loved it, but I am fairly inexperienced with ramen.

thats exactly what i was going to say - essentially safe bets when convenient but not destinations.
