Do you order fish while dining out?

Why or why not?
At nice establishments, I am more likely to order fish than not. I love fish/seafood. If the only choices are something like redfish or tuna, that I have plenty of in my freezer, I might pass but otherwise, it is very hard for me to pass up a nice piece of fish.
Discuss.

If it is something I normally can't get myself, yes I do.

Yes, but not fish like sheepshead.

Most places where'd I would have the opportunity to order a "higher end" dish featuring a piece of fish most likely has something I'd rather eat like lamb, pork, beef, pasta, etc.
That being said if I'm somewhere like Peche then I'm all over some fish.

I had a really good sheepshead at Brightsen's once.
It's only really considered a "trash" fish due to it being sort of a pain in the arse to clean, and not really yielding a whole lot in the way of a decent sized filet in relation to the size of the actual fish.
There's nothing at all wrong with the fish it actually yields, however. I would say it's comparable to any other Gulf fish.

I do. I normally choose fish over a steak when eating out. I can always cook a good steak to my liking at home. Getting quality fish at the grocery store is not around here.

Depends on where I'm eating, but I'm more likely to order fish or some sort of seafood than anything else unless I'm at a steakhouse or some type of restaurant which is not known for seafood. I always ask if whatever I'm ordering is fresh.

If I am at a nice restaurant, I almost always choose the fish dish unless the restaurant is known for steaks or lamb chops.

I'm very aware of this and was mainly busting R2R balls. Some places will make crab cakes with sheepshead. I always throw them back if I have to clean them.

I order fish all the time b/c I usually only eat fish at home if I've gone fishing. I don't get to go fishing as often as I would like though

Absolutely. In some places it would weird to not order fish. The only thing I never order is chicken. Chicken is everyday food for me.

I didn't order the sheepshead my girlfriend did.

ETA: Chicken is the only item from Geautreau's original menu still on the current menu.

Well yeah if you're at GW Fins or something for sure.

I had a chicken entree at Bistro Daisy recently that was outstanding.

at a nice place if one of the specials is a fish dish, im all over it, almost always rowdy.
I've been on a big fish kick lately, grow tired of ordering steak places.

Yes. I love a good fish with any number of sauce, especially something with crabmeat.

I ordered a chicken dish for brunch at Mr. B's a couple of weeks ago and it was really good. First time I have ever been there and NOT ordered the BBQ Shrimp.

My wife orders fish, almost exclusively.
I will order fish, but depending on the establishment.

I'm just messing with you. It was more the price of the fish that had me WTF.
