Jalen Mills locks down TCU's passing game tigerrag

In a game filled with gaudy statistics, perhaps the most impressive figure from LSU’s 37-27 win over TCU on Saturday night was also one of the most inconspicuous.
LSU sophomore cornerback Jalen Mills caught more TCU passes than his matchup, Horned Frog sophomore receiver LaDarius Brown.
By snagging the only interception of the game – on the very first play from scrimmage of the second half – Mills managed to out-catch the 6-foot-5 Brown, arguably TCU’s most dangerous aerial threat, who didn’t make a single reception for the night. His efforts highlighted an LSU pass defense that allowed just 145 yards and no touchdowns through the air.
What’s more, Mills – a Dallas native – had his standout game just miles from home, with more than 20 friends and family in attendance.

I noticed that.
He had an excellent game, a few more like these and his draft stock is going up. On a few plays he disrupted the pass at the very last second, impressive.

"It’s the reason Jarvis and I can do the things we do. We go against the best DBs in the nation every day,” Beckham said. "It just prepares you well for when you go against other DBs.”
For Mills, taking on Beckham and Landry – two very different receivers – helps mold him into a more complete corner, capable of defending physical players like Landry and Brown or speedsters like Beckham.
"Jarvis is a physical guy. He just has that attitude that he’s not going to get pressed, and I have an attitude that I am going to press,” Mills said. "And going up against Odell, he’s a shifty guy, so I have to work on moving my feet and locking him out so he can’t get upfield.”
Clearly, iron has sharpened iron in the LSU receiving corps and secondary. TCU and Brown just happened to get stuck with the sharp end on Saturday, as Mills quietly – but thoroughly – dominated.

If you aren't Lorenzo's Mom/Dad or legal guardian it is a violation.
NCAA is dumb. I know.

Think it's only if they are considered a booster or donates to TAF...but they most likely are. So yeah...

y'all are dumb. riding on an oyster boat is not an NCAA violation, unless you think oyster boats make their living by charging people for joy rides.

He just needs to take both posts down before some fan of our opponent sends the NCAA on a witch hunt to Baton Rouge.

Mills looked like he was toying with him out there. Only miscue I saw was letting that WR get inside position on that deep ball, but he still broke it up. His awareness is gross.
