Been on the road since 5:30 and didn't see a thread for people heading to Dallas for the game. Please post traffic alerts, road hazard issues and mile marker location.

Smooth sailing so far. Atchafalaya Basin Bridge mile marker 1324

Your two biggest traffic areas should be Baton Rouge and Dallas. If you avoid trouble on the basin bridge and time it right it should be an easy drive.

Just FYI, going up 49 and 20 yesterday we saw the normal 10 cops you usually see hiding in the medians along the way. Apparently the cruise set at 82 is an acceptable number.

Once we got into Texas we didnt see one.

that is the only issue at times, it sometimes only comes in handy in major cities, but that is usually the only place you should run into issues.

For what it's worth, there is no mile marker "1324".
There is a 132.4

While I-49 is a boring drive, most of it is 75mph, so setting on 79 won't even get a look. I'm sure as you approach Natchitoches and especially Mansfield, there will be radar cops looking for you.

I make the drive all the time. Biggest place to watch is north of Opelousas. The Washington exit. There's always cops, ad they're dicks. Usually I roll at about 80-82 and I'm fine all the way up 49. See you mortherfrickers in Dallas, leaving now!!

I left Mandeille last night at 7 and arrived in Shreveport (Southern Loop) at 11:00. No traffic. One cop at the Stonewall exit in the median last night. We are leaving here for noon to head over to Dallas.

All Tiger fans drive safe out there.
