For years i have managed to escape the hog boom invasion. For the first time in ever, i had a hog on my game camera. And he is beast

Here are two pics and a pic of a doe for comparison. How much does he weigh?

I'd go with a solid 250 at least. Wouldn't be surprised if he broke the 300 mark.

When hogs show up, it's usually the boars that roam looking for a sow. Was this pic taken near a creek?

I really dont have a solid water source on my property, a couple ponds (one drys up to nothing this time of year) the other is a cow pond in the middle of the pasture.

The creek on the place is dry except during hard rains.

You think this ol boy is just roaming or ive got em here to stay? FWIW , I didnt see any major hog sign.

where there's one hog there is always more

you need dogs to get them all off your property that's about the only way to control and that's not guaranteed depends on how many are around your property

Ive got 240 acres but its narrow strip. Hard to keep dogs on my place

I was thinking he was a solid 300. He is wide as all get out and his next is massive. Cant tell much about his cutter from these pics. Ive got 3 pics from a week span

We have 360 acres that's long and narrow. Never really has held hogs. Last year was the first year in 8 years anyone has seen one on the stand or any sign. 3 hogs seen, all killed. All 3 were boars in the 250 range. They follow the creeks looking for sows from what I can tell.

That may be what you have there is a big boy out looking for bitches and smelled your corn.

Enjoy having them the best you can because there really isn't shite you can do about it. As far as dog go, running them enough on your property to rid it of hog will also run the deer off.

Just my .02.

However big it is, you should make it about 150 gr heavier.

Hey Tigerfan where is your lease? I think ours may be close to you. I hunt a lease on Jones Vaughn Creek rd. W.Feliciana. Never had hogs until this year. They were on cameras about a month ago but have not seen them since.

Easy 275-325. Just got back from my morning walk. No hogs in the trap, but they ripped the woods up last night. My son found a dead fawn Saturday night hunting the dam hogs. Was a fresh kill.
