Steelers trade for RB Felix Jones

quote:

The Pittsburgh Steelers traded for veteran running back Felix Jones this morning, adding backfield depth with a player who rushed for 2,728 yards and 11 touchdowns in five seasons with the Cowboys.

The Steelers shipped outside linebacker Adrian Robinson to Philadelphia for Jones.

Can't hurt. Hopefully, he stays healthy and contributes.

Not bad, but I hope my boy, LeVeon Bell, gets back healthy (guess his injury was fairly significant too)

Doesn't mean anything if the OL continues to play pattycake in the trenches all season.

Tomlin said yesterday Bell just had a sprain, and wouldn't need surgery.

I'm guessing he won't play again in the preseason though.

Considering all the injuries, they need him ready for Week 1.

Jones, a first-round pick in 2008, had signed with the Eagles in the offseason but he apparently fell out of favor faster in Philadelphia than he had in Dallas.

Damn, felix has fallen off

Not a bad pickup....for madden 25 coming out. We already have too many capable Rbs. Pointless trade IMO

They should have drafted Eddie Lacy...I'm still bitter about that

Perfect place for that a-hole. Can just continue hating him.

I like Bell but wish the Steelers didn't draft him. I just don't like taking Rbs that high anymore. Too many other needs such as db. William Gay

Lisfranc...no way Bell plays week 1. Probably out until October.

Glad to see this. Was worried Jones would take some carries away from Shady.
