I did a mock draft on the yahoo app on my iphone and it worked fine. I had one little connectivity issue where I got a popup saying my connection was lost, but I hit "retry" or something like that and it connected and stayed connected the rest of the draft.
I would assume if a mock draft worked fine on a iphone, it should work fine on an ipad. And, I was on 3G the whole time too FWIW

I'll extend the pick time to alleviate this possible problem, but expect people to still pick relatively quickly...
