He has strong opinions about everything and he probably does throw out some race baiting shite but he calls out black culture all the damn time.

I haven't really seen that before, but I guess. He always seemed like a candy arse on Sports Reporters, and I wish he would shut up about sociopolitical issues. I don't really have a high opinion of sports journalists at all though.

He really does. And his opinions on Stephen A, First Take, and Scoop Jackson are completely on point,

another reason to hate them. Plus what a sellout whitlock is after years of slamming espn personalities calling the black on air talent buffoons.

Cowherd's take:
quote:

“He’s kind of a controversial columnist who has been critical of ESPN .. We just hired Keith Olbermann, who is a controversial, polarizing figure who has been critical of ESPN … if you hold grudges in our business, you’re just losing out on really good people. It’s a lot like pro sports … We’re in the business of hiring unique voices.”

When Whitlock writes an article calling out blacks, you'll see the MSB say something like "I normally hate Whitlock but that article was spot on."

If he calls out someone white, he's a race bater.

Whitlock? Seriously?

This shocking development – Whitlock famously left ESPN in 2006 after an interview with this website

And continued to tell you about it every article he's written since.

Really, at this point, they should just rename the network TMZSPN.

This. Once he writes one of his black KKK articles these same people hating now will love him again.

Yeah, people just lump most black writers in together. Whitlock is an equal opportunity offender. He just calls everyone out.

Also all you guys hoping Fox Sports 1 will be your white knight for sports coverage should love this. Whitlock probably would've gotten his own TV show on there if he re-upped with Fox Sports.

In a huge way.

I don't get it. I would think their commercials will sell nothing.

Come on Fox. Does anyone know if DirecTv will carry it?

ABSOLUTELY!

You agree with Whitlock, disagree with Whitlock, hate Whitlock, whatever...

But, unlike someone like Skip Bayless, I THINK Whitlock actually believes in what he says. And thats why if he were to ever appear on First Take he'd go right into that Bayless category to me, because he's absolutely slaughtered that show on multiple occasions. And he be going on that show to play the EXACT role he's criticized Stephen A for playing.
