Any advice on most financially efficient way to get ALL my stuff to the other side of the country without spending an arm and a leg.
I already sold a bunch of stuff. but have the staff that I need for my next place
Thanks in advance!

depends on how much stuff you have.
i will be doing the same but im taking a trailer full of my stuff as the cheapest alternative.
how many miles one way?

It's more expensive, but the full service movers were worth every penny when moving long distance. We used United Van Lines.

Im moving from BR to SoCal.
I have decent size furniture but not many items.
I have located a storage unit in SoCal.
I wanted to have movers take my furniture, boxes and car....drop the furniture and boxes of in storage unit. I would meet them at storage unit and pick up car from there. Is that even possible?
Or does someone have a better idea that could be more efficient?

rent a penske truck and tow you car behind? that the cheapest way you can go. or ship it.
i just looked and the truck rental would be 900 one way unlimited mileage. for a 12 foot truck or 16ft econmy van. you cant beat that. then you could ship your car for 800. problem solved

U Haul has an option where you can hire movers to meet you where ever and load or unload the truck. Very cheap, <$100 for the movers, you just have to rent and drive the truck/trailer.

I took the loss and sold whatever furniture i could. Gave away a 2 year old sofa, etc......packed everything i wanted in my car before shipping it and hopped on a plane.

If you have an SUV, just rent a uhaul trailer (covered, not flatbed). Whatever you can't fit, sell on craigslist, and buy replacement of of craigslist on your arrival.

Pods might be a feasible option for you.
