Thought I'd make a thread putting it all together for the first week of preseason! I had to work both nights so I only got to see highlights but all in all a damn good weekend for our Tigers!

Tyrann - 4 tackles & sack, PBU
Bennie- 5 tackles, sack
Spencer- 7 carries, 32 yds Rush TD
Ford- 6 carries, 14 yds Rush TD, 3 receptions 35 yds
Lavar - 3 tackles & sack
Reid - 6 tackles
Shepard- 1 reception, 4 yds
Mingo- 1 tackle
Wing- saw he kicked it pretty good
Minter - 3 tackles
Simon - PUP

Am I missing anyone? I'd love to hear how everyone looked in one place instead of 30 different threads. Hopefully I get to see them in action next week.

Left off Sonic Sam! How'd he do? Did they stand him up?

I'll add the rest of the Tigers!

Ridley- 8 carries, 92 yards, TD
Jojo - 1 reception, 3yds, TD
PP- 1 Int
Dorsey - 2 tackles
Tyson - 1 tackle

SN: Do we have any 4-3 DE's in the league?

Shep looked like a guy who was very nervous. Also had some poorly thrown balls his way but a few hit his hands and pro starters make those catches

Kevin minter had 3 tackles
PP 7 had an int
Dorsey had a tackle or two as did Tyson Jackson
I didn't see Brandon Taylor play, nor Sam Montgomery or tharold (he's on PUP list)
Eric Reid had 6 or 7 tackles and harbaugh gave him praise in presser

Flynn fumbled first drive
Keiland had a few carries

Hopefully it was just jitters. He's gotten a lot of praise in camp and is in a great situation.

Im starting to think he has nervousness issues

Practice is one thing but doing it under the lights is another. I hope he continues to improve. He certainly is working at it.

I can't help but think about if those jr's would have played the sr years. I remember when they were getting all of that game experience as freshman and dreaming about these guys in a few years. Never would have guessed they would all have rolled out like they did.

You missed Brandon Lafell's TD catch for Carolina.

Update: Okay, I see that you updated it to include LaFell

Wing had a 39.5 yard average with only 1 inside the 20 on 4 punts. If a game is any basis, I don't think he'll beat out Donnie Jones. (who is still my favorite LSU punter)

FYI Mingo beat Joe Barksdale on his sack
quote:

Mingo, who made the tackle on the Rams' first kickoff return, got consistent pressure on the pass rush and spun past tackle Joe Barksdale to drop quarterback Austin Davis. Barksdale was penalized trying to trip Mingo on the play.

Yeah he was crushed instantly, no blocking on that play.

On the next possession he drove the length of the field and got in the red zone for a FG. Made some nice throws.

Sounds like Mingo impressed everyone in the Browns organization. Big write up on him in the Advocate today and a lot of positive articles about his debut.

Lavar is going to be a solid pro. Kid can do it all and is the type of player you want on youre team. No ego at all, does his job, goes about is buisness.

lavar was/is a great tiger. Literally never heard a bad thing about him. I think he will have a solid pro career.

Mingo will flourish in the NFL. He reminds me of the 49er's defensive end, Aldon Smith, just not quite as bulky. The challenge for him will always be to keep his weight up and I think as he gets into his athletic prime (age 26-29) he will be an All-pro caliber player for cleveland. The type of person he is also leads me to believe he will play his whole career as a Brown.

Completely agree with everything you just said.

Lavar is a great player to have on your team.

In regards to Mingo, he does bring the same type of ability to get after the QB that Aldon Smith has, but IMO Mingos a more fluid athlete than Smith. Smith is strictly a pass rusher. He had 19.5 sacks, ridiculous, but only had a handful of tackles for loss. Mingo has the ability and athleticism to drop back into coverage, which is something Smith doesnt have. Mingo is more of a true OLB to me and Smith is more of a pass rusher/ DE guy to me. But, if Mingo can become anywhere near the type of player Smith is, he will be a great one.
