NBC is out after 2014 for USGA tournaments. LINK

Not sure how I feel about this.

Only one more year of Johnny Miller at the US Open.

Does this include the Ryder Cup?

First NBC loses baseball, then the NBA, then Wimbledon, and now the US Open. Those are sports/events that were synonymous with NBC.

Now all it has is Sunday Night Football, the Olympics, NASCAR and horse racing.

No, the Ryder Cup is run by the PGA of America not the USGA.

I think there is a good possibility if this. I don't know if Fox will go after Miller. His controversial takes could cost him.

Nah, Golf Channel is too popular, and they cover a lot more than USGA events. In fact, NBC may just pump more money into Golf Channel to try to get even more events.

They have the NHL, which has done/is doing very well.

And let's not forget Notre Dame.

Golf channel stays,

I don't want Johnny Miller gone. The thought of him being gone pains me as much as the sound of his voice.

He's golf's Madden.

The best thing that will come of this is no more self righteous Bob Costas segments in the middle of the coverage.

You got a good point there, Rog.

If Costas goes, it might all be worth it. If somebody said we're taking Miller away, but in exchange no more Bob... I'd be fine with that.

Lerner just threw the USGA under the bus for announcing their new broadcast partner on the eve of the PGA Championship. There's supposedly a gentleman's agreement that the governing bodies don't make those type annoncements during the week of a major. I'm inclined to agree with him. It could have waited until next week.
