What price per acre does your club insurance cost?
What does the insurance cover?

Not sure on dollar figure, but most just cover general liability. I think we pay $700 for a little over 2k acres.

Hundreds of clubs get insurance through the Louisiana Forestry Association (LFA). The organization has negotiated a discount rate with an underwriter as a benefit to members. I don't know how their rates compare, but I see long lists of new LFA members who have joined just for the hunting club insurance.
Here's a link to their website.

We payed insurance for a few years to a no good complete piece of shite farmer just south of holmwood for a few years. Think it was 250 a blind. Don't know what it covered and wouldn't be surprised if he just kept it

We use Davis Garvin. I think our rate is $.12/acre. $2 million coverage. DG does have a $250 minimum per policy, so it probably isn't the best fit for smaller clubs. LFA is a good option for individual clubs, as is the Alabama Forest Association. I'm pretty sure that you can also purchase insurance through a group that QDMA put together. If you lease from a TIMO or forest products company you'll likely be covered under their policy.

We use Davis Garvin also for our duck lease. 4 guns, 55 acres, 1 million umbrella. $146/yr.

Ended up using Davis Garvin. Was just curious if I got hosed or got a decent rate.
The application says $150 minimum for the 1 Mil policy.
If you paid $146, were you grandfathered in?
