From a Darren Daulton reference about him dealing with brain cancer....

To "healing the wounds caused by Riley Cooper's words"?

Are you fricking kidding me?

I don't know what pisses me off more, the fact that if Cooper were black and said the same thing, no one would think shite about it, or the fact that this bullshite is news in the first place.

Yep it amazes me how people continue to bitch and bitch about espn and how awful it has become and yet these same people refuse to change the channel.

The more desperate ESPN gets to create drama and issues for viewership, the more they alienate their core audience and key demographics.

It seems like Riley Cooper did a worse thing than Aaron Hernandez. This story will not end until Cooper is released from the Eagles.

I will be waiting to see what the reaction and aftermath will be like the next time a black athlete uses a racial slur. What Cooper said was uncalled for and there is no place for it anywhere, but the overreaction and the over-coverage is getting ridiculous. The professional fate of Riley Cooper should be decided by his coaches and teammates, the people that have to actually be around him everyday, not by the far-removed media throwing spears until this guy is released.

Not only are they alienating our age but my 7 year old loves baseball and constantly watches the MLB network. He told me espn talks too much and that he wants to see highlights.

saying a word is worse than rape; torture, cancer, and beating innocent children in the minds of the idiot media.

What happened to "sticks and stones..."? you couldn't say a single word to me that would offend me that much.

This nation has regressed. He said the N-word. This is not news worthy.

This should have stated an internal matter.

No one would know or care if it wasn't for Espin making every segment about it.

Wounds? Really? From the n-word?

People are too thin skinned. Like right now, I'm calling you an a-hole. See? No problem. We're just gonna keep on posting and bombing like there's no problem. 'Cause we're cool like that.

Several teammates said they could never forgive him for those comments and said they didn't want him on the team.
