For the FBD crew... Marshal Zhukov Release Dinner with pics....

So, the Order of the Red Banner is a private dinner celebrating the annual release of CCB's Marshal Zhukov Russian Imperial Stout. It's a six course meal that I'd describe as Russian/Tampa fusion. Each course is paired with a CCB brew and 5 Zhukov variants made an appearance. I'll apologize now for the photos, lighting was poor and some of the photos didnt upload in the correct orientation..
The tickets..
Once you find your way to the table you are greeted by a wax sealed menu...
Starters... House made pickles, olives and fresh local Cuban bread.
Next course, Blintz served with creme fraiche and caviar..
More appetizers... Chorizo and Manchego stuffed cabbage, lamb picadillo peirogies and eggplant caviar empanadas.
Soup and salad, two soups including a Ropa Vieja soup, Borscht and a Caucasian salad...
Entrees.... Sturgeon a la Ruze and Beef Short Rib Vaca Frita Stroganoff. With sides...
Desserts... Zhukov Dulce de Leche blintzes and Zhukov chocolate cake...
2nd Dessert.... Zhukov and pineapple popsicles.. Why not?
The beers....
FBD - CCB Oktoberfest
2BD - CCB La Rubia
3BD - CCB Marshal Zhukov Imperial Stout
4BD - CCB Humidor Imperial Stout (Zhukov aged with Spanish Cedar spirals, whats that you say? I'm holding one in the pic)
5BD - CCB Fountain of Sin
6BD - CCB Marshal Zhukov Penultimate Push (Zhukov plus locally roasted coffee)
7BD - CCB Hopped up Johnny (Marshal Zhukov aged with Johnny Walker Blue Barrel chips and locally grown hops added)
8BD - CCB Final Push (Marshal Zhukov treated with civet coffee)
Myself, CCB owner Joey Redner and Mrs. Wiltznucs. Huge kudos to CCB and the Brewpub. An amazing night and let's do it again soon..

I'm not gonna lie... I had two of the best beers of my life last night (MZ Final Push and Hopped Up Johnny). Hell, they were all great and the food was just awesome. The whole event was fricking amazing and another beer dinner is being held in a few weeks.
The next one's theme is "Hunahpu Vertical" and I've got a feeling it will be truly epic....

Tickets to last night's dinner were $100 per person. That included the meal, the drinks, your gratuity, a commemorative t-shirt and a bottle of Marshal Zhukov for each ticketed individual to take home.
It's obviously a lot to pay for a night of entertainment but you only live once...

That actually sounds worth it to me..

I think so, I figure you'd drop $5-7 a pour on the brews. Seven beers total, so lets call it $35 minimum before gratuity. Add in a six course meal, I'm gonna lowball it and call it $50 a person. We're at $80 a head before you even consider the gratuity, the freebies, all the leftovers you took home and the $15 bottle per person. The meal lasted for four hours and you got to meet the Chef, Brewmasters and CCB owners. I'm glad I got the opportunity to go..

I can't believe that was only $100 bucks. Would have guessed 150 minimum excluding gratuity.

that looks amazing. I know im in the minority here, but I don't really enjoy drinking beer and eating at the same time. most of it is because I sometimes have stomach issues, but I prefer to drink, eat and then drink again. I usually have water with meals.
any chance a bottle of mz could make it to br?
