Slow afternoon here. Thought I'd post some photos when I last made shrimp burgers.

What I use for two shrimp burger patties:

Measurements are approximate and vary every time

20 peeled shrimp
2 Tablespoons Panko crumbs
1 Tablespoon Hellman's
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon Slap Ya Mamma creole seasoning (should use at least double this amount)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 Tablespoon green pepper
1 Tablespoon chopped onion
1 Tablespoon chopped celery
1 egg

Shrimp into the small bowl of food processor. I can't remember who here gets upset when I don't devein shrimp, but I usually don't and didn't devein these. I never devein my oysters.

Shrimp all chopped up.

Stuff added:

Patties in sauté pan with a touch of oil to pan fry.

Serve on butter toasted buns with mayo, lettuce and tomato. Kettle chips are always nice. Cold Beer is always needed.

Closer shot:

Probably would improve the taste to add a touch of crab boil oil to mixture but I was out. How anyone runs out of crab boil oil I can't imagine.

How do you consume sliced onions in your milk? Use your fingers? Out of curiosity

Yum.

I feel like I'd really like that with some remoulade spread on the bun and shredded iceberg.

I was expecting a Roul's-type creation here. In other words, a regular beef burger with shrimp piled on top.

Needless to say, this looks way fricking better.

I assume this question comes from the Milk Post?

To 3/4 glass of cold milk add a crumbled wedge of leftover cornbread and a tablespoon of chopped onion. Mix it up and eat with a spoon. If you run out of cornbread and onion before the milk is gone, add some more. Heaven in a glass. This is old style eating at its very best.

Wouldn't that be tasty? I think so, too.

I'd skip the buns and just eat the cakes with remoulaude or Cousin's creole tomato dressing. Those look good.

You should know by now that I'd never turn down a butter toasted bun with anything.

They are good all by themselves, like a tuna or salmon croquet. That night, I was just in the mood for a Sammich with my kettle chips.

I just puked in my mouth a little.

I dated a girl who's dad did the same, but with saltine crackers to 'settle' his stomach at the end of the day.

I have two big cans of salmon at home. Need to do those soon, but fresh shrimp looks better.

Please don't hate on me Teese, but you have never lived until you do these with lots of fresh salmon where I used the shrimp. We do them with canned too, but fresh salmon done this way will blow you away.

We do it with salmon when we buy a half salmon fillet and have lots to play with before it's gone.
