What do you think is the best "Story Telling" song of all times?

My vote goes to "Goodnight Siagon" by Billy Joel (I would say he has some other great ones as well)

Goodnight Siagon

Most Warren Zevon songs. "Desperadoes Under the Eaves" and "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" come to mind.

Desperadoes Under The Eaves

Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner

A lot of Harry Chapin Songs like "Taxi" and "The Taxi Sequel".

Taxi and The Sequel

Honorable mention to Gordon Lightfoot for "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". This video has eerie footage.

Cash has a ton of good ones. Steeling from the gm factory assembly line one piece at a time to build a Cadillac. LINK Dark haired boy on the tn flattop, LINK boy named sue LINK, trains , the ms river LINK, prison. Pick one, All dammed good.

Hank jrs "the conversation' LINKabout Sr. with Waylon Jennings on it. There is another one about his dad with Willie Nelson? (not him but sounds like him) about sr's constant firing of his band that has a funnier tone to it. LINK

Nas - Rewind

Not particularly deep, but it's not every day that you can hear a story to music with excellent flow and then realize it's been told backwards.

Have you ever met a girl that you wanna date?
But a year to love she wanted you to wait
Let me tell the story of my situation
I was talkin to this girl from the US nation
