Next week is Restaurant week here in Baton Rouge. They do it twice a year in January and July. The site below has all the participating restaurants and there menus. Each place has a fixed rate menu with 3 choices available for Apps, Entree, & desert.

I went to several places in January and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Check it out and support some local restaurants during this "dead" period.

Nino's is pretty awesome.

I think we are going to try Frankie Marcello's, just because we haven't been there yet.

Went a few weekends ago... the vibe is VERY out of place with the location. The food was pretty good, I had a pulled pork po-boy that was really tasty and the fiance had a burger which was on par with most of BR.

The server was obnoxiously overattentive, but it wasn't too crowded when we went so she was probably just bored.

I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but if I had friends going I wouldn't have a problem with it either.

Agree with everything previously said about the place, and add bad service to the mix

We ate there a couple of weeks ago. Very mediocre and over priced. Plus the place was empty. The best thing we got was a duck and andouille egg roll appetizer. That was pretty good.
I got a cochon de lait po-boy that was bland, I can't even remember what my wife got it was so nondescript. We both left saying "We should have gone to Omi."

The menus aren't super impressive this year, but there are a few gems.

I am doing Bin 77 tonight. Their three course menu is $25, which is a good deal considering their entree prices. The options are also very interesting. I've heard great things about their food.

I love some of the restaurants on there (Beausoleil), but I find that a lot of them have crappy options for restaurant week. I don't want to go to Beausoleil for a pork chop or chicken breast.

Places like Chelsea's are just offering normal menu items, but it's a steal. I'll probably do Chelsea's. It's $15 for three courses, and the entree options are their most popular entrees.

I find that in general, the more upscale places can be the best deal for this. It's a good way to try a place you wouldn't normally spend money on for a normal night out.

I'm going to go to Nino's on Saturday night. Doubt I will hit up any of the others. Not terribly excited about many of the places. Lots of places looked like they copped out of doing something special. Chelsea's is a decent deal though.

Going to Le Bon Temps tonight, haven't tried it so it seemed like a decent opportunity.

Portico tomorrow night.
