Not surprised at all. Went to Mexico City this year, and the women especially are rotund.

If Americans would just get back to smoking cigarettes we could slim down as a nation.

Whether or not you're joking, I actually agree a lot with that. Not that I think we should, but that I think if we smoked nearly like the Europeans did, we'd narrow the gap pretty significantly.

This is true. They hardly eat any vegetables. It is a very unhealthy diet. Lots of fried stuff too. I love Mexican, but I couldn't eat it for every meal.

On job sites in my neighborhood (I live in a new one in PVille that's been under construction for both the years I've lived in it) there are countless Twinkie and prepackaged burrito, tamale, taco, whatever wrappings all over the place. It's disgusting. MFers build a house quick, though.

That is good because the Mexicans in America weighted our results over here as well.

While a bit tongue and cheek, the statistics show that the drastic rise in obesity coincides with the decline in smoking. It's not all that surprising.

Actually, I see them in Chinese buffets on the regulars.

I once saw a group of Mexicans in a Chinese buffet trying to communicate in English with a Vietnamese waitress and I though to myself "God Bless 'Merica!"

The average mexican woman is legitimately like 75 pounds overweight. Like all of them it's crazy.

Don't exactly see many Mexicans at the gym either

I'm at the gym now and see 2. One cleaning some windows and another cleaning the treadmills.

For real though 2 of my Mexican friends are currently training for the Chicago marathon and are very fit. But most of the Mexican population I take care of at the hospital are very overweight.
