easy question. what is the best drink you have ever mixed?

Mine was about 20 minutes ago. Classic whiskey sour (with the egg white).

1 part Jack Daniels
1 part fresh lemon juice
1/2 part simple syrup
1 egg white

shaken with ice in a mixer, strained into a chilled lowball glass. Was the best I've ever made. Spectacular.

So what is the best you have ever done?

You know, I've never tried it with the egg white. I should get on that.

I don't know what you call, but it's

Vodka
Pineapple Juice
Grinadine
Sprite
Malibu

It's more of a punch & definitely a summer drink.

The only way to drink scotch is as a single malt and neat (maybe a cube to break the surface tension of the aromatics), give me an ardbeg or lagavulin.

Seriously though: lagavulin rinsed martini glass, shake bushmills, st germain, lemon juice, and a little if the local bocage bee company burnt honey together. Depth of flavor with everything together.

Also do an old fashioned with xocolatl molé bitters, anejo tequila, agave nectar, and muddled orange.

If you decide on another do a "dry shake"

i.e. before you shake it with ice, shake it without ice. Egg whites tend to foam better at room temperature than they do cold. It's a pain in the arse but try it that way and then shake over ice after you get a foamier liquid. Will take it to an even higher level. Then you can say that THAT was the best drink you ever made.

Single malt is too peaty for me. That's why i go with blends.

Single malt doesn't always mean peaty. Glenfiddich and balvenie use little to no peat in their malts. Just knowing which ones to get. I was not overly fond of peat when I started but now I want it as peaty as possible.

Lime, instead of lemon, for me. My go to, at an afterhours speakeasy type club, while in school.
