He was amnestied by the Bobcats of all teams. I was his biggest fan but he is the definition of under-achieving. He even grew to 6"10 giving him a great PF frame.

If he spelled it wrong, disregard.

The NBA allows you to take a player off your books by paying him his money up front.

I really see his only viable option being overseas. He's offensively challenged. Pure raw athleticism only gets you so far.

Never developed a jump shot, he needs it to see any success in the NBA. Big Baby developed one and for a guy limited in the athletic department is a solid NBA player.

I hope the highly touted recruits that Johnny Jones has coming in learn something from this. If Tyrus had played for a coach like Jones who would have actually taught him something and he would have stayed for three years then he would actually have a better pro career and make more money in the long run.

As Tyrus has learned you have to be more than a great athlete. You have to have skills that hopefully you will stick around long enough in college to master.

Coach K could have been his coach and he wouldn't have stayed three years.

None of them do

They've got bling to buy.

He did. There were great expectations for him but he never lived up to them. Basically, he just did not want to play hard. He also had problems with the play book. He was constantly out of position on defense and screwed up plays on offense because he could not remember what to do.

The final straw was when he was just asked by the coaches to hustle down the court on defense. He refused to even do this and just jogged down liked always did. After this highly public incident of openly defying the coaches, no one would stand up for him. When he was traded everyone was glad to see him go, coaches, fans and sport writers.
