35-man provisional roster

GOALKEEPERS (3): Bill Hamid, Sean Johnson, Nick Rimando

DEFENDERS (6): Carlos Bocanegra, Oguchi Onyewu, Clarence Goodson, Edgar Castillo, DaMarcus Beasley, Michael Parkhurst

MIDFIELDERS (10): Kyle Beckerman, Josh Gatt, Brek Shea, Brad Evans, Joe Corona, Stuart Holden, Mix Diskerud, Benny Feilhaber, Eddie Johnson, Jose Torres

FORWARDS (2): Herculez Gomez, Landon Donovan

As much as I would love to keep Zusi and Besler in to build off of their great form from these recent qualifiers, I doubt they go away from SKC a week after coming back. I actually feel that way about a lot of the MLS guys that were recently in camp. I have GAM and Brad Evans in, but I think they are up in the air.

I like everything but the center halves. Start Besler and Gomez, more minutes in competitive action is a must have.

As one of the few really young guys, I think McInerney makes the squad. I think we'll bring more than 2 strikers.

yup.

We're gonna try to win the gold cup no doubt, but I imagine we're gonna try to use it to break in young players too.

Why would you leave someone like McInerney at home while we're dropping 6 goals a game on teams like Belize and Cuba?

And if you'd leave him at home at the expense of guys that have been given tons of chances like beckerman and torres, that would be even worse

I think he, gatt, mix, and shea play a lot. The senior team/ gold cup team double duty guys in both the mls and mexican leagues probably won't be a big part of this team
