What are all of these "adjustments" that should have been made?

Serious question.
Everyone keeps saying that Mainieri failed to make adjustments, but have not been specific.

Bunt Rhymes vs. UCLA
Adjust lineup to move hot hitters up for more AB's.
Sit slumping hitters when players on bench are hot (Tyler Moore)
Challenge UNC catcher to throw us out on basepaths.
The amount of runners LOB not only shows lack of hitting, which happens beyond anyone's control, but it also shows our lineup wasn't distributed properly to get the hitters up with runners on. Granted we only had about 2 guys getting consistent hits.
Adjust lineup to move hot hitters up for more AB's.

Typical response. I'm not saying we should fire Maineri, I was simply responding to the OP. Relax chief.

He could have done any of the following
1. Put runners in motion w/ hit and run (not in the 9th vs UCLA)
2. Tried stealing a few bases
3. tell the hitters to work the counts and get the pitcher to bring the ball down in the zone. (may have told them this though)
4. Adjusted the lineup. Sometimes that will get some guys out of a slump.
5. played small ball
6. Tyler Moore in the lineup vs a RHP.

After a whopping 1 run, opting to keep Stevenson in and Foster out could be perceived as a mistake. That being said, I don't think Foster makes the catch in right that Laird made against UNC. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

Yeah, LSU has not been a small ball all season long. It's actually well-documented by the rant how terrible they are at bunting.
But lets try and do that on the biggest stage of the season.

Stevenson had a better postseason (regional, super regional) than Foster.

Just because people's opinions differ from yours doesn't make anybody wrong or right. Am I not discussing? Heaven forbid that I think Mainieri did a damn good job this season even though we didn't win it all.

the answer is, he should have made an adjustment at hitting coach I say at least three years ago. we simply can't hit
