What's a good place to get lunch in Lafayette today?

Cedar, Taco Sisters, Olde Tyme Grocery for the best poboy you've ever had, T-Coons, Bon Temps...

What do you normally get at old Tyme? Plus, downtown I think Poupart's Cafe has the best sandwich bar none: smoked brisket sandwich (similar to a poboy). The whole thing, from the bread to the brisket and the small amount of gravy they add is unbelievable.

Meatball, sausage and shrimp are the only 3 that I get. Besides for a special they are having that I haven't tried before.

I really would recommend Poupart's downtown. They also server croque Monsieur. And no I don't have anything to do with the place, it's just that most people don't even know its there and they serve some really nice all made from scratch food.

Johnson's: sausage sauce piquant on Thursdays is really great.

I had lunch on the patio at OTG today. Salad special, Southwest Chicken. Co-worker had the fried shrimp po-boy. Mine was very good, but that po-boy looked awesome!

...at the table across the street?...one of my fav lunch spots, munching on an oyster poboy while wishing that Saint Street Inn was open after 2pm

I saw them post that special on Facebook. I was suppose to go today, but didn't get the chance to. Haven't been in a couple weeks. I'm way over due.

Their oyster and shrimp po boys are probably are among the best you can get in the state. My Friday tradition is to crush a whole oyster before the night of debauchery begins.
