I'm thinking a 6cyl Ford or GM pickup, mid-60s up to early 70s.

What say the OB?

planning on having a refinery?

Diesel pre-electronics truck.

A diesel will not run on vegetable oil, but you can make diesel from vegetable oil.

If you have one of the only working vehicles someone will shoot you and take it. The only way to travel would be at night with blacked out lights and on a one way trip to your final hole up location. And even that would be dicey.

Would probably be ideal because they are basically silent. You will still have to probably travel at night though.

The key to any catastrophic situation is to get the hell away from urban areas as quickly as you can either early in the initial confusion or later with stealth.

Probably a mid 90s Toyota 4x4 of some sort. Those things are indestructible.

And quiet.

All day.

The ability to run on 3 different kinds of fuel at the minimum, keeps your options open.

I wish I had something diesel or awesome.

But no, my TEOTWAWKI vehicle will be my trusty 2011 Hyundai Sonata!
