Have Yamaha 150 2 stroke carborated, Fished the last two days and ran 40+ miles each day. went to clean the boat today and realized my Flush hose connection was disconnected

The overheat alarm never went off, and I did notice it didn't quite sound right but just shrugged it off. It did have trouble idling in gear a couple times where it would kill on me and I had to give it throttle to get is started again, figured it to just needing an idle adjustment after taking a beating on last island Friday!

Figure that flush is on the backside of cooling system and water was still pumping through, as motor was pissing like a champ all day, but still worried I may have done some damage. What says OB am I overreacting or should I be good to go??

Not familiar with the water flow on that powerhead but if you did all that running and it didn't lock up I think you're good! :lol
If the indicator had that much pressure the block shouldve been full of water while running

test your overheat alarm and that will tell you if you are good or not.

That's what I'm thinking even if my overheat alarm would have crapped out that sucker would have locked up within 15 min on me if it didn't have water running through it.

All you can do is run it till it quits . Sounds like it didn't run very long with the hose disconnected . If it did overheat the damage is already done to the power head . But if your alarm didn't go off I really wouldn't sweat it

I have one and when they over heat they blow that alarm so if didn't sound you are golden I hope. Change your spark plugs , 40miles one way should keep them clean but good plugs effect these motors more than others I have found. $14 worth the money.

Good luck let us know what you find.

If it's pissing and not sounding alarms, you got no serious problems. Fix the problems you have
