The ole David Browns about had it, looking to get a 30-35 hp 4wd with front end loader and a new bushhog. Already have all the other implements I need. What are the favorites on here an why? Leaning towards a Deere at the moment.....

Price?

Deere definitely works the operator less than the others.

We run Mahindra tractors because we are not OT rich but also we could afford 3 of them. No complaints but nothing to brag about. Id buy Kubota every time if I could afford it.

If money is no issue then a deer, if it is I am partial to Massey Fergusons.

Mahindra. We have a 30 and 60 hp and they do some serious work and also cheaper than John Deere. I didn't see a point in spending that much more money on a John Deere just for the name and color.

Buddy of mine has a newer John Deer 3038E...37hp 4wd. And its a really nice machine for the size. I have used it several times on my deer lease and have not found a job it couldn't do. I think he got a package deal and 0% for 60months at around 20K.

IMO for a small HP tractor it is VERY tough to beat a Kubota. However this is like asking someone Blondes or Brunettes , Ford or Chevy....

I have two Kubotas here at my place a 33 HP 4wd, loader much like what you are looking for and love it, it has about 450 hours on it that have been trouble free. I don't think you can go wrong with either, also have had good luck with Mahindra.

Masseys are good. Whatever you get make sure you are close to a dealership for parts.

I'll own nothing but deere.

My dad got a 35 hp Mahindra and its s bad mofo. Hydrostatic trans, 4wd, front end loader.

John Deere and Kubota are always good choices but they run a little higher than comparable brands.

I Have a mahindra 20 hp and a Kubota L3800 I love them both but the Kubota is a lot of tractor for the money. I looked at the Deere tractors and found that the smaller (less than 50 hp) are pretty cheaply made and are made mostly in Mexico under license to John Deere. The small tractors don't have a JD engine and the front end loaders are permanently mounted. The Kubota is made by Kubota and it only takes a few minutes to drop or install the front end loader. I found that the Kubota was a much better buy than the 37 hp JD

My dad has had a John Deere 790 4x4 with front end loader and bush hog since 2003 with hardly any problems that weren't self inflicted.

This. And if and when you have to fix something, break other the savings book for parts.

I have a deere bushhog. Cost me over $350 for two end blades and two nuts/bolts. I was like WTF? The bolts/nuts were $91 a set.

I have an old Ford 2000 I picked up about 6 years ago that I use for clipping around pecan trees and other things. Paid 4K. It was rebuilt from top to bottom.

yea service is definitely a big thing to keep in mind. Our JD dealer is 15 minutes away (used to be 5). Wouldn't make sense for us to use Case which is an hour away.
