Seriously, why is the popular opinion always fricking whining? No optimism, no happiness, no joy, no silver lining, just classic old whining like children because "it's not gooood enoughhhhhh, I wanted this instead of thaaaattttt, OMG it's sooooo bigggg where am I ever gonna put itttttt"

Why are people so eager to hate on the Internet? It's like a plague that caught on and can't be eradicated, and it carries over into the real world. I can almost guarantee that anyone I talk to about this Xbox One will have some negative shite to say, why? Oh because they read a bunch of complaints from self-worthy Internet tough guys who can't be happy about anything, and didn't see a shred of optimism.

So what gives peep? Happy or not, this is a next gen console and we don't get these very often. It's not exactly what you wanted, how you wanted, etc, i get that, but cant we discuss pros/cons and likes/dislikes without turning everything into a shitfest of negativity?

Disclaimer: this obviously does not apply to everyone before you jump in to cry that you didn't whine.

anything that makes it so you can get something fast and easy and cheaper makes the people who use it feel entitled.... imo

Because having rational discussions about anything is horribly outdated.

Reading the commentary from the public on various sites about this reveal made me lose a little more hope for the human race. Nothing but childish bullshite.

The internet is saturated with negativity.

The internet allows people to voice their opinions quickly, easily, anonymously, and prolifically.

Because of the anonymity it provides, people are more likely to voice criticisms that would have otherwise gone unspoken.

They spend 10 seconds or 2 minutes to add their little drop of negativity to something, just to say it somewhere because god knows nobody wants to keep anything to themselves anymore.

Multiply a one-paragraph bitchy rant about a product times a billion, and the internet is saturated with negativity.

And shite, let's not forget how jaded we've become with scammers on the internet. We approach even established, legitimate companies with a heap of skepticism, because we know that for every legit company out there in the world, there's a nigerian prince waiting to buttfrick you.

There'd still be tons of unsolicited bitching if the Internet were around when we had Nintendo or Atari. These were mind-blowing and had our thoughts fixated on what kind of games we'd like to see, accessories, gripes about glitches, can't fricking knock out Bald Bull, etc.

Seriously, imagine the online shite storm there'd be today if you had to blow the dust out of your xbox sometimes just to get the game to load.

And it's just not coming from basement dwelling fanboys but bloggers and pseudo journalists that many read.

This is true only because of the huge nerds who can't be satisfied and sadly they are the vocal majority.

It's a fricking shame, really.

The people complaining that "I WANT A GAMING CONSOLE NOT AN ENTERTAINMENT DECICE" are the ones that get me the most. Why? Because I'd bet that these are the same people watching Netflix and using HBOgo to catch up on Game of Thrones.

Yall do too much research and invest too much time into these new consoles and all the news on them. Just let me know when it come out and how much and ill go buy it. Idc if my xbox can't cook bacon while I play. This board is dead. Too many serious topics and not enough humor. When there are joke threads the butthurt commences.

A lot of that is fanboy spin. MS could have walked Jesus Christ out on the stage yesterday to debut a new holy wars IP and people on this board would say they were underwhelmed or disappointed.

The others for some reason infer that anything a device can do besides play games somehow hurts the games. It hurts my brain to even attempt to try to understand the logic that less is more when it comes to a gaming console. I'm all about getting the most out of a single device that I'm most likely going to pay $400-500 for.

I agree

After looking at the feature comparisons of the two it's obvious the Xbox features are aimed at being an all in one entertainment system and the PS4 features are aimed more at gamers. Both will play the same games and have pretty much the same hardware. The rest is just in what you want to accomplish with your console I think.

Do you want to stream to Twitch straight from your console? PS4 is the option

Do you want to have an all in one hub for your entertainment and have more entertainment apps? Xbox will the one to go with

The latter is more appealing to me.
