How does Alex Box Stadium AT Skip Bertman Field sound even remotely right?

They've never said Alex Box Staodium AT Skip Bertman field.

How bout "Tiger Field". Or something without the latest guys name. I kinda like the "Box". Worst case is Ernest Morial Convention center. How about just "the New Orleans Convention Center , was named after a sleaze mayor . PM gets left out? Let the hstudents vote on a name, or the alumnus and students.

I started at LSU in 1984, same year as Skip. I can tell you that baseball was nothing at LSU at the time. Admission was free. There was nothing going on at the Box at all. At KLSU, we hosted outdoor concerts in the outfield. Juke at the Box. That was the one grassy field that no one at the university cared whether it got messed up by erecting a stage and having a few hundred students run around and smoke stuff. LSU baseball was nothing. Then Skip got things going.
They could call it the Skip Bertman baseball program and rename the team the LSU Fighting Skips and it still wouldn't express what Skip meant to that program.

UF's football stadium is Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at Florida Field. Doesn't bother me either way.
