A number of freshman will play key roles on this year's team much like last year. That being said, who do y'all think will be this year's most impactful freshman? I say White.

IMO outside of Landry and OBJ wr is wide open.

It might be, but I think Dural is top 3 WR. Im not sure how good Leslie is or how fast he can get the playbook down, but im fairly sure that the team is expecting Dural to have a big year.If he didnt get hurt last year, I think we would have started seeing him getting big time PT at the end of the season. Dude is a smooth route runner, great hands, and a burner.

I don't disagree. My point was I don't think Wright and Boone have spots locked up.

But again, it took tm7 his sophomore season before he became the honey badger.

One thing is, our fans hype these kids up way too much, the dude isnt even on campus yet.

Actually Gordon will be the #1 next year. Looks like he can block and catch. in fact the coaches are very high on him. They will all be used im sure.

Brazil is going to be a special teams animal. Might start taking punt returns away from Odell

Nice Post KG5989. We need more people like u on here vs the little kids that like to point out grammatical mistakes or make smart-arse one line remarks for their feedback.

Enjoyed it.
Thanks

I think you mean that TM7 built all his hype going into his sophomore season.

I don't think you'll see anyone as "the new honey badger." Players with those types of instincts are rare. Not to mention that his style of play was very unique.

I like most of it.

Collins will be the starter ahead of White. But, considering we use an extra DB in almost all of our D, i expect White to play a lot. The nickel will either be Mills or White, and the other will be the CB opposite of Collins. So I expect White to see the field alot. But, Collins is the starter. Chief has been grooming him for this season and hes the type of CB we always have on the field. Tall, rangy, and physical. I expect Collins to have a breakout year and could possibly go pro after this season.

Man, Welter has some huge fans on here. I seriously doubt he is the starter. Spring game he got destroyed by 2nd OL and a walk on center. Had 2 assisted tackles at MLB. Thats not what you want to see. The coaches gave him every opportunity to prove to them that he can start, and I doubt he did enough to earn that spot. He might start out there, but I would be surprised if he holds onto that spot past the first few games. And Barrow is a great cover LB, so during passing situation we usually have 2 LBs and the rest DB, Barrow will be 1 of those LBs. Just because he starts in the middle doesnt mean he cant move over during passing situation. Minter was our MLB this past season with good cover skills and he had a few picks. I expect us to use Barrow just like Minter.

Why do people still insist JWright is a "special" player. Hes been here for a while and hasnt done anything. Same with Boone. Our WRs will be Landry, OBJ, Dural, and Leslie. They are the best 4 WRs we have.

And it seems that a lot of people have already forgotten about Kendall Beckwith. Hes not even in the OP depth chart. We dont know what he will play(DE or LB) but I think this kid will see the field before a lot of the guys that are on the depth chart. Already a pretty good sized kid, and can run sideline to sideline and hit with the best of them.

Sure, TJones may start, but I expect Debo to play more. Everybody likes to talk about TJones experience and all that. Yeah, hes been in the system longer, but hasnt had that much game experience except on special teams. Only made 2 career starts. He was supposed to be the starter last year, but didnt take care of his school work and ended up being suspended. Thats letting the team down. TJones is s senior and only has 37 total tackles. Debo in 1 season had 27. Been in the system longer, but hasnt done much more than Debo has in 1 year. If Debo has a good summer and adds some weight, he will be playing more than TJones. Our best 3 LBs are Kwon, Barrow, and Debo. Period.

The only DE we know of that will be the starter 100% is Rasco. We will most likely be using a heavy rotation at the other spot with Hunter, Allen, Beckwith(if a DE), and Herron.

Y'all keep saying this, but Mills came in starting last year. If Mills can do it then why can't White? I'm not saying it will happen, but it's certainly not out of the question.

Mills came into a vacant position. White will have to beat out somebody that started last season and those that played spring ball. Don't see it happenin. All good discussion.

OK, how bout this.

Mills started last year because he beat out a RFr that never played a down of college football.

White would have to beatout a third year corner that played legit minutes in EVERY game last year. Collins even had at least one start.

By the back end of the season, Collins was starting. We ran nickel all game long against a lot of opponents, and Mills bumped inside and Collins was the outside CB.And I thought Collins played great when he was in. IMO, both Mills and Collins were playing better than Simon was at the end of the year.

Not saying Collins didn't play a bunch or that he didn't play well.

Collins actually only started ONE GAME last year. I believe it was the a&m game.
