You are so right, ProjectP...these things are just inane.

On the prospect progressing on the field, of course. He showed out at camp, and his grades aren't in question.

The questions the staff has pertains to the prospect's potential. With so many amazing other prospects in the mix, the staff needs to be sure that they're taking the best players they can get, as always.

If Quinn shows improvement in some areas in his senior year, or if we miss on some guys like Dupre, Blacknall, etc., he'll likely get his full offer.

Dave where are you getting this information from. If this is truth what you're saying every body is dead wrong on this guy. Everything from all of the pay sites say he has a commitable offer.

I'm more inclined to believe what has been said about noil than quinn. in summary, noil has a fully commitable offer but the staff sees better prospects at wr. sounds reasonable to me given noil has very, very, limited experience at wr. the staff has told noil this, makes sense. its been discussed on this board that noil could possibly end up at db. would explain why LSU is not even in noil top 3.

No comment on the first part, because that could only lead to negative stuff...nothing good, in the big picture, can come of that answer. I hope you understand.

The offer is verbal...a potential commitment would be verbal...it's all opinions and rumors. The only WR's (on our radar) that LSU would actually let SIGN right this second are Upchurch, Voorhies, Dupre, Blacknail & Noil.

The priority list for LSU's 2014 WR class are:

1A D'haquille
1B Dupre
2. Blacknail
3. Upchurch
4. Noil
5. Quinn

Note - Voorhies will be tried at WR but I personally feel that he will end up at Safety, and some of the staff does, too. The plan is to take no more than (5) WR's, as of initially and up to this point.

enlighten us, please.

6'0 tall, runs a 4.4 What's the knock on his potential or lack thereof?

that's actually pretty standard, yet I've never heard of our coaches offering a kid an uncommitable offer after dominating a camp a year and half before his NSD.

well, did we tell him he needs to get better or did we tell him we need to strike out on guys better than him before he gets his offer?

This is accurate, as of right now.

Noil could be a hell of a CB, too...he should come to LSU and make that switch, IMHO.

Basically, yes...we didn't tell him to "get better", though. The staff gave him some areas to improve on, and it's up to him to go out and make it happen.

I know...you're in complete and utter disbelief. But, there are some questions pertaining to his physicality. The big ones, however, are sort of out of his control, if you follow me.

You have now...and it isn't all too uncommon. Again, offers are verbal right now, unless the kid wants to sign and get it over with early.

We told him what he needs to work on, of course...we're not going to tell him that he's a backup plan. He's knows, however, that he's not LSU's #1 WR option...everyone knows this. He must compete for his spot, like he has been.

I mentioned him getting in if we miss on some other guys, because I personally feel like this is the most likely scenario. Don't forget, we went after Upchurch from TX, and we're after Blacknail from NJ...we're pursuing our preferred targets accordingly.

I find it very strange that you were posting in a thread in January and you questioned his physicality yet never mentioned any type of inside sources and you seemed very unsure of yourself. You based your concerns on a picture of Quinn. Now a few months later you "know people" and LSUs coaches question his physicality.

Man, I've been banned up until today or something...i was banned that very day that you're referring to...you guys always bait me into typing things that I shouldn't be typing.

Anyway, I'm NOT related to Les or anything...I just know some of those on the staff. In January, I gave you my opinion based on my thoughts and some things that I had heard...that's all.

This is all completely false, and yes, I know for a fact. It is a shame that somebody who has no clue would take the time to write this.
