I feel like Tesla isn't appreciated enough amongst 80s/90s hair metal bands

Psychotic Supper was a great album IMO

What You Give

Stir it Up

The Great Radio Controversy was my second favorite studio album of thiers

Love Song

The Way It Is

And of course Five Man Acoustical Jam

Signs

Lodi

Yes I know those two are covers but Tesla did them justice.

Mechanical Resonance was another good album but I didn't like it as much as the ones mentioned.

very underrated band. They got lost in the shuffle. Saw them live after the acoustic album came out and they were great.

Yea I feel like they were actually more musically talented. They always had great harmonizing guitars.

They billed themselves as a t-shirt and blue jean band at that time.

Tesla and Cinderella got lumped in with hair metal but there was a lot of unappreciated substance with both bands. Love Song is arguably one of the top 5 songs of the late 80s/early 90s and they did an incredible job remaking "Signs".

I was just about to say that Cinderella and Tesla were perhaps the 2 most underrated bands of the era, but Govt Tide beat me to it.

I've seen Cinderella twice over the past few years at Beau Rivage, and they put on a great show. Tom Keifer still has some amazing vocals. I'm actually going to check him out later this month at The Station in Broussard.

I love "Nobody's Fool". Just a very polished, flawless sound to that song.

For some reason, they remind me of a poor man's Aerosmith. I enjoy them though.

Agreed. I remember how much more organic and "earthy" their sound was, compared to the overly-polished hair metal sound of all the other popular bands of the late-'80s. Very good live band, too...

The intro to Little Suzi is one of my favorites.

There is a story out there that Tesla wrote a piece of GNR's "Patience" and the record label took it from Tesla and gave it to GNR.
