I'm thinking...
It might be...
toast
Do you guys think the F&DB could handle the strain of a good toast photo post?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Make sure to get a pic of your yard in the backround.

Yard is pretty wet today. Stream running across front yard I bet. Don't know for sure becasue I'm at work at moment.
Never thought a hamburger post would go 7 pages. There may be house burnings and kitties up trees if I do toast.

I'll be the first to admit, no matter if your thread dies after 1 page or it becomes a 20 page argument, I always enjoy them. They're funny and seem to always have great looking food involved.

White or wheat?
Any subject worth photographing would include both. Maybe I should just do one so that the bpard can split up into factions.
As in wheat vs white
Me? Whole grain.
There, I've said it and my lot is cast. My bed is made and now I must sleep in it.

is the toast made from homemade bread?
Did you toast it using a "black and decker" toaster?
well you should have toasted it on the cast iron in the oven at 700 degrees for 32 seconds each side...
You better have used hand ground mediterranean sea salt to season that hand churned butter.

I'm about 80 percent positive you're an elaborate TulaneLSU alter. Props on how well you've built up this alter-ego.

No, actually you'd get people to be even more disinterested in your posts. I guess you're trying to be funny, or troll, but it doesn't really matter to me, and would most certainly attract your critics.
I appreciate the effort and documentation of your cooking, I just think some may perceive you getting a little "full" of yourself, what with all the positive feedback you get and your desire to publish cooking photos quite frequently.
You have a passion for cooking, and enjoying the slow down pace you have set for yourself. Some people can respect and appreciate that, and some will think of it as bragging. I don't know you personally, so I can not pass judgement.
If I don't want to read your post, or any other post for that matter, it's as simple as not clicking.
Why not slay your critics with a your best dish ever. Although, I may be totally off base and not realize that you simply don't give a crap what people think!

What plates are you gonna use?

I've got some good Huckleberry jam from Oregon that would go well on that toast...

Thanks. Never knew I was so contriversial.
I do like cutting my yard, so the guy from West LA is correct about that. Funny how people will get their jollies putting down someone they have never met and have no idea about. Seems like a defect in character to be that way. Respect for all men and all.
Too rainy for yard cutting this weekend. Maybe I'll go walk around Lowe's for an hour or two. Never done that. I'm a go in, get my stuff and get out kind of guy.
Why it would hurt my feelings to have someone call me old I can't imagine, but it does. I'm pretty sure my sons are both older than him so maybe he is right about one thing about me.
I may need to come up with an opinion on him. Doesn't seem worth the effort so I'll just continue to ignore him.
Peace

Are those pictures in Sam's actually TulaneLSU, or just some old dude from the internets?

Please make sure your next one involves some pedestrian mediocre everyday type meal.

You can criticize someone while still having respect for them, their opinions, way of life and for all men and women. A key tenant of western civilization is dissent and voicing disagreement.
If you can't get on board with that I'm sure we can find you some Marxist literature to peruse.

Shake the haters bro. 60 y/o dude posting pics about random food stuff on an internet message board causes people to think he is an alternate personality and full of himself. Dow at 15,000. The Mayans were off by a few months, we have truly reached the precipice.
