Any tips on how to replace a treble hook on my Super Spook Jr? I finally got the broke one off, having hard time getting new one on. Hooked myself a half dozen times already.

It's sad I had to look up split ring pliers. Don't have one but its on my list now. Will continue to use finger nails and small screwdriver.

Finger nail to open ring. Hook onto ring. Slide around. The end.

Or needle nose pliers and a pair of needle nose vice grips.

No need to go buy more stuff but it might be easier with them

Use needle nose pliers to open the ring then bend it back when you get it on

I change all hooks on my traps and most blades on my spinner baits, so I can do this in my sleep.

Get your arse over here. This is the kind of thing when I was a kid would give up and ask my Dad to do.

Order from Cabela's.
Don't leave home without it.

Alright, after 30 mins, I got it on thanks to a tiny screwdriver. The hook input on is slightly larger than the one I took off. Y'all think it matters?

Hope not, cause I ain't changing it again. This past Sunday, third cast with bait I hooked up with a 17" trout. Got it to the yak and netted it. You probably know the rest of the story. Took 15 minutes of working on it to get it untangled and couldn't get it. Broke the front hook in the process and had to cut my net. By that time I lost my spot and couldn't find it again.
