I know you can't get real time satellite images but I'd like to recent one's just to look at the water I may want to fish.

Any sites that have this?

Check out the Department of Natural Resources coastal GIS stuff. It's as good as you can usually find.

The bing maps have actually been more up to date, but try and be aware of the dates and what the water level is.

google earth lets you pick the date of your photos, but they arent really that many available ones to looke through (they are normally several months apart). the GIS ones i've seen are not very recent. i think the most recent ones were 2010. unless i'm looking in the wrong place.

maybe try finding a web cam ? some weather stations have live webcam feeds.

Ok,I'ma hook y'all up with a lil somethin-somethin.
Most people don't know about this little jewel.
If you zoom all the way in on your point of interest it will give you a real estimated DOP. Usually within 1-2 years of accuracy.

Its very much a pain in the arse, but I'm not too good with this World Wide Web so take that with a grain of salt.

the Atlas link? Yeah,it's kinda hard to get what you want from there but it does have more recent photography than SONRIS

Check out Louisiana Department of Natural Resources site and go to the SONRIS link. Interactive GIS and pretty user friendly.

Good luck
