planning my honeymoon.... any must eats in San Fran?

Spending our last day of the honeymoon in San Fran and i'm looking for a couple places to eat. Basically a lunch and dinner spot. Any burger/bar joints i should try or should i go to the wharf?
Dinner, just anything local.... doesn't have to be upscale.

For lunch we went to Wayfare Tavern. It is Tyler Florence's place. We thought it was pretty good.

There are tons of places to eat and drink!

Here is a lot of info from DeanintheYAy LINK

Actual honeymoon taking place in Sonoma Cty, Bodega Bay Lodge.
Decided to come back to San Fran on saturday morning and spend the day there. Also, have a group of friends going to San Fran on thursday to catch a game and go to Napa with their wives. One couple will be there on saturday as well, will hang out with them for the last afternoon.

SF's food scene is an embarrassment of riches. Do you know what area you'll be in for lunch or dinner? So many great places to eat in the Ferry Building alone--if you're early enough in the day, you can check out the large farmer's market there, as well as the many food shops inside.

My SF short list always includes Tartine (in the Mission), Cotogna and/or Quince (where we had our wedding dinner, the chef is a TU grad): LINK /

And if you're into the touristy and downscale, there is an In-n-Out burger in the middle of the (completely skippable) Fisherman's Wharf area.

I wanted to go to this place to eat when we were in the area, but we never made it. Looks like a cool place.

Perbacco, great rustic Italian Restaurant. I had an amazing meal there last Sept. If you're from NOLA, the guy at Cleaver got his start there.

Plenty of good places but this one is legit.

Perbacco

ETA: Chris Cosentino, he has Incanto in SF. It has a major league rep.

Under no circumstances.

Christopher Columbus Ave has good Italian, and at all price points. Also easily walkable.

Zuni Cafe. Leopald's for good German food and atmosphere. Slanted Door or Burma superstar, Vietnamese and Burmese fusion. Ad Hoc in Napa is my favorite spot. I got more if you wanna hear em, but some of my favorites.

Don't go to the wharf! Only tourists go there.

Fleur de Lys by Hubert Keller. I would make the trip this May to eat here, but I'm staying all the way out by the airport in south SF. If you're done in time, grab some cocktails at Top of the Mark at the Intercontinental.

I agree. Top of the Mark is definitely something to see and experience. Probably a good spot for an early evening drink.

Slanted Door is incredible but, reading between the lines, probably outside OP's price zone.

I thought Slanted Door was overrated (in food terms), but the setting and service are nice. SD offers a mid afternoon tea menu of smaller dishes at a slightly lower price point, and you can get takeout from the restaurants Out the Door counter...a picnic outside might be less spendy if the weather cooperates.
