Need some help. Flying to Vegas for work convention tomorrow and my boss has asked me to find a place for dinner tomorrow for us. Our team is about 7-8 people and he said nothing crazy. $40-50 a head and that's with appetizer. (Not drinks). Nothing too fancy like Mesa grill, etc.

We are staying at the Venetian and would prefer to walk. Any recs?

Public House. It's IN the Venetian. Great place, especially if you're a craft beer nerd. Place is badass for beer .. plus the food is solid and not too upscale or pricey. Go by yourself afterward and sit at the bar and ask Victoria or Mike to bring you the best beers they have.

Great suggestion. Went there one night on my bachelor party. Pretty chill but great food and drink.

Mesa Grill isn't even remotely "fancy".

I'll second R2R's recommendation. He's the one that recommended it to me and I went back in Decemeber for a couple of pints and an appetizer. I only had the poutine fries and they were damn good. The braised oxtail is what did for me.

I'm not super familiar with that end of the strip. I tend to concentrate on the south strip like around City Center. That being said, Todd English P.U.B. at Aria is good as well with a solid beer selection. Though Public House has a more upscale vibe to me. And don't confuse it with the Public House that's in Luxor, NOT THE SAME THING!

Also, I've been wanting to check out The Henry which is at the Cosmopolitan. It's not exactly fine dining but honestly anything at the Cosmopolitan is nicer than most. If you end up at Cosmopolitan, do yourself a favor and go to the Vesper Bar near the lobby. Some of the best made cocktails I've ever had.

Did we go to that one when I went with yall? I remember the bar in the middle of Aria which was pretty badass .. me and the SO went there again a year ago and I stole one of their badass ashtrays. Great looking bartenders and really good cocktails, which don't normally go hand in hand.

We didn't hit up Vesper Bar. At the Cosmo we visited The Chandelier. The place in the Aria is the Deuce Lounge.

At Vesper, the Mulberry is the drink to get, Baker's Bourbon, Nonino "Quintessentia" Amaro, Benedictine, whiskey barrel-aged bitters, and creole bitters.

Will be in Vegas from Wednesday night until Monday morning. Come for part or maybe all of it.

Have eaten at delmonico and Lavo at the venetian. Delmonico was on point the night we went. Lavo great atmosphere food was good not great. I would say with drinks Delmonico $150 per guest, Lavo $100 per guest

I'll say Cut was a damn good place but very expensive. Finding a cheap place in the Venetian is not easy if you want a good sit down dinner. Is Lagasse's stadium expensive or decent for what he's looking for? I've only been there to drink and watch football. I think we had a few good apps.

Battitsta's Hole in the Wall. Great place. Had a really good meal there, and by Vegas standards it's cheap.

I wouldn't do more than apps and drinks at Lagasse Stadium. It's nice to chill on the patio and catch a game but I wouldn't try to eat a full meal there.

+1

Lagasse is not a dinner spot by any means. I'm not even a huge fan of sports book there .. the stadium seating doesn't do it for me.

also, how the frick has nobody suggested In-N-Out Burger yet?! that was well worth the 70 minute roundtrip walk that time.

Haha, I know the route better now. Easy walk. Well other than limping from the half marathon the night before in December. My walk in march was a lot easier.

And gmen are in San Diego for a 4 game set starting that thurs.

And back on topic, the Italian place in NyNy is not worth it. It's open late and was one of my only option at 11pm on a Sunday night for a sit down meal.

Why not try Bouchon? It is at the upper end of the OP price range, but it may earn some style points from the boss.

How old is this place. Last Vegas trip was 2008-9. If I would have known about this my saturday "walk-about" after wife passed out would have ended with me in hospital.
