20 or so pages behind right now so I don't know if this has been brought up but to me it looks like melissandre will go to ricerlands to take place of the old crone that gave everyone prophecies.

Unless the felt the need to add drama to the arya storyline and have her out to get gendry?

The book SoS has a bunch of foreshadowing of events with the old dwarf lady. It would be interesting if they did that with Melissandre or Thoros instead. That would not show the power of the old gods through the weirwoods.

HBO = ESPN

Old Gods = LSU

Red God = Alabama

Connect the dots.

That dude is furious. It's hilarious. You know, its getting harder and harder for me to defend TD apartheid when they get that angry and make me laugh that much.

does anyone think that they HAVE to kill Joffrey this season? i feel like with how much they've talked about the royal wedding, as well as the fallout of RW, they will have to kill him in episode 10. my theory is that they don't do the PW at all. They poison him at a much smaller affair (budget concerns) and end it there

I'm pretty sure some blurb at some point mentioned that they filmed three weddings this season. But yeah, I'm pretty sure Joff is toast in episode 10. Given how budget conscience they have been with actors so far, there is little chance they bring back Joffery for another season just to kill him off in the first or second episode. And they won't want to piss off fans of the show too much by ending with Robb only, so it has to happen.

Not going to happen without introducing the Red Viper.

Purple Wedding and Red Viper early next season.

Yeah, I really want to see more of the Martells. Have they even introduced any of the Martells yet? I can recall the only time Dorne being mentioned was when they sent Myrcella there.

Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Episode 4 ‘And Now His Watch Is Ended

Not me, but someone should start it soon.

Anyway.

quote:

The source writes, “While we won’t spoil anything big about it, we do want to whet your appetite with a few hints, memorable quotes, and first impressions about what you’re in for…” Below are hints about “Game of Thrones” season 3, episode 4 “And Now His Watch Is Ended.”

Three major scenes from the book will be happening. WetPaint says, “One only begins, one is about what we expected, and one is everything we could have wanted and more.”

Five memorable quotes are:

“One misfortune, and you’re giving up?”
“I distrust you because you’re not as smart as you think you are.”
“We mothers do what we can to keep our sons from the grave. But they do seem to yearn for it.”
“He would see this country burn if he could be king of the ashes.”
“I made a choice, and I chose wrong.”

quote:

Daenerys will finally take command of the Unsullied while Joffrey has a surprising revelation, but you don’t need to wait until Sunday for a photo sneak peek inside!

LINK

quote:

I think this scene in question is going to be when Daenerys sells her largest dragon, Drogon, to the slave masters to buy the 8,000 Unsullied. When she confirms that the army is indeed hers, she turns around and has her dragons and her new "soldiers" betray and attack their masters. She then takes over the city and ends up with both her army and her dragons!

That's what I'm hoping for at least. Other than that, I have no idea what this scene could possibly be, and I'm desperate to know more. Otherwise, it looks like Arya Stark is taken to the commander of the Brotherhood, and maybe something about what the Lannisters have in mind for Sansa Stark will also be revealed -- like her wedding to Tyrion. Commander of the Night's Watch Jeor Mormont (remember, his pet raven is always the one who wanted corn) also kicks the bucket in the third book -- he's slain by one of his own men. So perhaps the so-called scene is the Night Watch's mutiny? The episode title "and now his watch is ended" are actually the last lines of his eulogy. So is that it?! I have to know! OMG is it Sunday yet?!

Here's the trailer for Sunday's episode:

I'm really anxious to see the burning of Astapor. They better not leave me hanging.

So what begins? The battle of the Wall? Hopefully Astapor is the better one. Don't know what other big event should be coming up soon.

Seems early for that. My guess is the scene that is about what you would expect is Mormont's death at Craster's keep.

They may complete the Astapor scene and end the episode with the wildings climbing the wall. That's a fairly big event in the book. Just a guess.

I can't see that happening yet.
I would think the one we are expecting is Mormont dying, and my guess is Daenerys burning the slavers as the one we wanted and more.

Love the picture of Varys and the Queen of Thorns out for a little stroll. Totally innocent and no scheming going on there I'm sure.
