but that looks nothing like the guy who played Beric in season 1.

Those nonreaders really seem to have some problems. They are still talking bad about readers saying we won't let them have a thread of their own. The last post from a reader, which was me, was 2 hours ago in direct response to a comment about the middle ground thread I created. The butthurt is strong.

Between you Carson and belle the thread is a lot of readers though despite the value of what was being relayed

I think some of them see our usernames and get mad, but avoid reading the actual post due to their sometimes exaggerated fear of spoilers.

My posts have actually been helpful to them. Blueboy even came into the middle ground thread to get a question answered, which was done smoothly and with no spoilers.

Fortunately, I think I've created enough awareness of the middle ground thread I can now leave it up to the few with common sense to relay that information for me, maybe.

eta: Have I mentioned the middle ground thread yet?

They do. They also lurk these threads to see whether we're talking shite about them too apparently.

Bah. I see problematic behavior from both sides. Some readers just seem to like to mess with those guys and almost seem to have a compulsion to go in there and push the line. And while I can see the complaints of the non readers, some of them just come off as petty people who behave badly.

I stay away from posting pretty much anything in that thread. And to be honest, while I used to like to read it from time to time just to see their takes on things, I don't really even do that much anymore because I'd say at least half the posts are just pissing matches between readers and non readers.

You guys have basically killed off the non-reader thread it's 5 pages and more posts by readers than non readers. Not to mention a reader already asked in that thread about Robb Starks wife and someone else mentioned the lannister honeypot theory... Great way to keep the non-readers from spoilers

Even though a reader asked the question. To be fair, Blueboy a non reader put forth the honey pot idea

I asked the question about Robb Stark's wife. I hadn't seen the Lannister Honeypot stuff beforehand. Seeing as the character is TOTALLY DIFFERENT in the show (everything up until their marriage was off the page in the books no less) and they asked for a discussion I thought it was okay to ask.

How the frick is that a spoiler?

ETA: As Psych said, it got taken to the middle ground thread after that.

And when those topics came up I popped in to offer the middle ground thread as a better place to post such questions, which has been the extent of my involvement over there. Try to help, get attacked. So JB, why don't you take your self-righteous indignation and shove it.

Hell, the damn character in question is not even in the book. It's a total departure of anything remotely resembling Jeyne Westerling no less.

I doubt Jayne Westerling was a Lannister spy, and turned on Rob.
I do think his wife in the show IS a Lannister spy. That video has be thinking 90% chance.

Here is a perfect example of someone getting pissed and not having a damn clue what they are bitching about. The honeypot theory being a spoiler for non-readers, that's rich.
